Hello, i need help regarding spousal file & TRV procedure....
I’m a permanent resident of Canada & am going to sponsor my husband for PR which will take 12 months to process....my husband is in India...& I’m in Canada....
To reunite before 12 months...is it good to put up TRV before sponsorship file...? What are the chances of him getting TRV ?
His medical was done with me...so high commission has his data & that he is an intending applicant for PR on spousal basis....
If he gets TRV before spousal sponsorship...he doesn’t have to wait for 12 months or go back & can apply for work permit or study permit....& we can start our life without waiting for one long year...
please help....

Based on your description, you can try to apply for TRV before application then come to Canada do inland PR application. In that case, you can be together, he can apply for OWP while waiting.
I don't know how the chances are, but why not apply it before tho? right?

There is no guarantee he will get the TRV, but if he can show he still has strong ties in India (job, property,...), he increases the chance of getting a TRV. Once in Canada, you can send the inland sponsorship along with an OWP application. So he won't have to go back to India during the processing.
If you apply as Outland, he will not be eligible for OWP. However, if you apply Outland, you can apply now and not wait for his TRV application to be processed.
Your husband is unlikely to get a study permit while applying for spousal sponsorship. One of the requirements for a study permit is to prove that you will not remain in Canada which doesn't made sense if you are applying for spousal sponsorship.
