Hi everyone!
My cousin has got her TRV refused based on one reason - “Purpose of Travel”.
In her application I said that we haven’t seen each other for a long time, that we grew up together, wanted to celebrate Christmas holidays together. I included places we will visit during her 2 weeks stay with us(Niagara, Blue Mountain, Montreal).
What did I miss? How can I make her application stronger and proof the purpose of her visit?
Did she include her ties to her home country like family, real estate etc? If you let us know what exact documents she prepared, that will give us a better idea.

She applied from Moscow, Russia 3 weeks ago. It was a paper application.
1-She included letters from 2 clinics she works at with her allocated vacation period.
2-Letter of rental agreement (she rents an appartment).
3-We mentioned in invitation letter that she is engaged, but her fiancée won’t be applying this time.
4-She travels a lot, so she included visas from Switzerland and other Europe and Asia countries.
5-Birth certificate
6-Bank statement with 10k
7-Family info form
8-Application itself
9-Invitation from me. We included that I want her to meet my kids, spend some time together, because we haven’t seen each other for a long time, spend Christmas holidays together. That we will visit popular tourist attractions. I added that she has no intensions to stay in Canada and she will be returning to Russia on January 7th after 2 weeks of her stay.
10-Biometrics were done
11-I also included my pay stamps and proprety info, photos of us together when we were kids, teens
I would get the notes then, as everything she has provided looks good enough. Has she got an relations apart from you in Canada. If she has, the CIC may look at that and think she may come to Canada and stay. Again, though, I think the documents you have said should have been sufficient. Will be interesting to find out what the notes say, not only to you, but to the people on the forum. Good luck
