Hello! I applied online last June and as I have expected , it got rejected!
I was denied by factors of course based on the Embassy assessment!
I did have problem with the uploading of supporting documents. Some documents end up excluded in my application because of my bewilderment on what portion on the online account will I upload those supporting documents.
Time-wise, online application is an excellent choice. I know a lot of users on this page will not agree with me but I think paper application is the safest choice. Every TRV application is a test. Don't just rely on the checklist itself on the CIC. Send as many relevant documents as you can to oppose rejection.
The Invitation of my grandfather was made in affidavit form. He just scanned it and sent it to me for my paper application. Or you can notarize it - it depends upon your visa office instruction. I applied for myself, I was rejected because of my immigration status - if your living in a different country, provide your translated and certified resident card if not in english and your visa. Second is my personal asset - make sure you include like car ownership, house or land titles. and if you have a job, do include your COE with contract start and end and letter of leave.
