TRV for spouse while PR application is in process

Hello everyone,

I need advice on how to go about an email I received for my husband regarding temporary residence application.

I applied for my husband PR in July and received AOR in September. While in the process of it, we decided to apply for a temporary residence due to the fact that I was pregnant and will be expecting my baby this month(March).

So far his PR application has been in progress after he passed his medicals in January and we haven’t heard anything yet.

I gave birth few days ago and we received an update from IRCC for my husband to submit his passport for the TR.

Should we go ahead and submit his passport for TR? And what advice can you give us concerning his Outland application.

Okay. We also have a minor issue, so when we applied for the TRV, is passport is set to expiry in May. However he renewed his passport and got a new one. When submitting the passport for the TRV, should we submit both the old and the new one or just the renewal passport? I hope it’s not a silly question. Thanks

Definitely submit the new one. While probably not necessary, it will not hurt to include a photocopy of the biopage of the old passport and short note that new passport being submitted because renewed.
