TRV for Spouse to Visit my Convocation

Hi everyone,
I am an international master student at Dalhousie, Canada. On 10 April 2015, i apply online a TRV to invite my wife, who is in Viet Nam, to visit my Bachelor Convocation, which is today, 25 May, 2015. We still have no update on the application yet. The application status is still open. The expected time for TRV on the website for Viet Nam is 29 days.
In the letter of invitation, my convocation is the main reason. Is there any chance if she still can get a TRV even when my convocation passed ? And how long will we wait to get a result ?

No, if convocation has passed then chances decrease dramatically.

You will have to wait from 29-60 days for an answer. You might get lucky and get an answer quickly.
