TRV for Spouse - Dubai

Hello Everyone!

I was wondering if someone can guide me & share their experience on a TRV application for my spouse.

To give you a brief, I am a PR of Canada. I had received my PR in March 2020. I had come in for a soft entry to secure my landing & open bank accounts etc & then returned to Dubai.

I have landed in the country on the 14th of June 2023 & plan to stay here permanently now & looking for employement etc.


My wife does not have an PR or TRV as I would first want to secure a job & then apply for the sponsorship route.

However, I would like my wife to visit me temporarily for 14 days & then return to her job in Dubai.


Wife's Travel history: Europe (Belgium, France, Spain, Netherlands), UK , Georgia, Singapore.
Holding a valid B1/B2 Visa of the US (Never travelled).

Employment: Currently Employed at a Semi govt company in Dubai.

Financial Evidence: Approx CAD70000 in her Dubai Bank account

Purpose of Visit : Visit Family & friends - Me (Her Husband) & her sister are PR of Canada & staying in Canada.



We will be uploading all the neccessary docs along with an invitation letter from myself & her Sister stating she is coming for a visit & will return to Dubai at the end of her trip.
I will also declare that in the future, I will be applying for a sponsorship route once I have fully settled settled in Canada


Appreciate if the senior members can advise if its a wise idea for her to apply for a TRV?

Canada TRV's are always tricky & outcomes are not guaranteed.

Since you[her spouse] is a PR already & her sister too, it is very important to justify her purpose of visit and how it is temporary and that she will leave as per visitor visa conditions.

You should apply and see if she gets approved

Make sure to show strong home ties for her and purpose of visit.
