Hi All,
I am a Permanent Resident of Canada (effective Feb 2018). My daughter was born in India last year (July 2018) and is currently staying with me in the United States.
I am planning to visit Canada for tourism in the summer. Please advise me the best way I can apply for a tourist visa for my daughter:
Option 1: Through my CIC profile I can apply for my daughter's visitor visa. However the application requires me also to apply for a visitor visa, even though I am a permanent resident. There is no option to file for visitor visa only for my daughter.
Option 2: Create a CIC profile for my daughter, and apply for a visitor visa only from her account. But ideally she cannot grant a representative a right to use her account since she is just 1 year old.
Please let me know the best way to file for her visitor visa. I plan to move to Canada sometime next year and then I'll initiate the sponsorship for my daughter, but I would require a temporary visit visa this time.
Any help is much appreciated! Many thanks in advanvce
