I came here in Canada through the travel exemption for couples who are in an exclusive relationship.
Is it possible to extend my stay for another 6 months to complete the 1 year required for applying common law? Will it be suspicious to the officers?
Can I have a valid status after applying for common law sponsorship or do I need to extend again my visitors visa? Will they allow me during this time of pandemic?
Marriage is not an option because we are not yet in that stage of the relationship.

You can apply to extend, yes. As I understand, if necessary later, it is safer to apply to extend again in case the application is returned (to avoid inadvertently becoming out-of-status).

This is up to you and your partner of course, but respectfully: you are at that stage in the relationship, as common law is in most important respects the same as marriage. There are also distinct advantages in you applying as married (such as potentially not meeting the common law tests on technical grounds, as well as applying earlier) .

Im on the same boat. I applied for the 2nd extention last year Nov. 2020 but i havent heard from IRCC. I will be 1 year next month as visitor visa( implied status) and we’re planning to apply commonlaw+ opw.
My question is, can i apply under implied status? Or i should wait till i heard from IRCC about my extention? Thanks
Similar boat here as well. But my question is, once you've extended your visitor visa to reach common law status, and then apply for the OWP, need you apply for yet another extension, since there will already be two six-month periods used at the time of applying for Common Law sponsorship? I'm not yet clear on what happens in terms of visitor visa/legal status in Canada after you apply. Thanks!
