TRV Applications from India - 2021

Hello Everyone!

My parents have applied for TRV from India an year ago and submitted their biometrics in August 2021 as IRCC didn't send appointments until this year due to COVID. Now that they have submitted their biometrics, it has been more than 120 days since biometrics were submitted and IRCC website says, the current average processing time for Indian applicants is only 46 days. We tried to reach out to both IRCC Delhi Office and the Canadian Office but didn't get any response from either of them. How do we make sure the application is actually being processed and how long do you think my parents have to wait for TRV? Would appreciate your feedback.

Reapply using new portal.

Hi,

We applied for Visitor visa using old portal in Dec 2020 and got biometrics done. After Sep 7 update on IRCC portal, we decided to apply for Super Visa as Visitor was showing 1 year for processing. Now we applied for super visa using new portal and nothing for past 60 days. anyone could suggest? Its so frustrating

Thanks for your reply. Would that not jeopardize the application itself since I read somewhere on the CIC website that if we have applied through old portal before Sep 7 (2021), we don't need to reapply again?

If you had applied before Sept 7, you need to reapply. If you applied after Sept 7, no need to reapply

@myindia - The website says the following. Where can I find the definition for the highlighted phrase?

If you applied before September 7, 2021, and you already told us that you qualify for a COVID-19 exemption

I re-applied through the new portal for my sister on Dec 9th, 2021 Got PPR on Dec 16th, 2021.
Initially, I applied on Dec 22, 2020 and biometric on July 5th 2021.

1. Did you withdraw your old application?
2. Was there a refund?
3. Did you mention any reason if you withdrew your old application?
4. Also, did you you ever raise webforms with the old application?

1. No, it was automatically withdrawn 2days after I got PPR
2. Not yet..I don't have any hope either
4. Yes, but after Sep 7th...did not work.
