Dear all.
I didn't get TRV in time from Canadian Embassy Manila for my scheduled visit. I have another travel in subsequent week and requested to withdraw my application through email and fax. I attached cover letter with basic info. DOB, Passport number etc. and a simple form for withdrawal provided by VAC Tokyo, through which I submitted application. It has passed 4 days and no updates, no phone connection available to check. I am afraid I can miss next travel. Can someone let me know that 1) how much time it can take to receive the passport back? 2) Is the method I chose for withdrawal is proper or there is something else to do. VAC Tokyo is not commentimg on timings and methods. I am waiting your reply. Thanks,
Depends on the office workload and availability. There is no reason to think that "because you are withdrawing it should be fast", withdrawals have their own queues and waiting times.
GIve it at least 2 months, also do not forget to add to this mailing time.

Many thanks for reply Jalex23. I am shocked to know such long waiting time. Is there no place for emergency situations? I have unavoidable visit to my country for a weak as soon as possible due to emergency (mothers health). Can you comment please?
