TRV and Work Permit

Hi,

We are from India.

My spouse has recently received his work permit for 3 years in Canada. However, his TRV is going to expire in May, 2017. Based on his work permit, I want to apply for my open work permit.

I want to know:

1) If i apply for my open work permit, will my duration be based on his work permit duration (3 years) OR his TRV (~9 months)?
2) Under which category in CIC should I apply?

Is his work permit a PGWP?

No. It is an Intra-company transfer and a close work permit. It is under NOC 0 category.
