First off, I am not a PR, but I have lived in Toronto nearly 2 years on a work visa (need to get PR asap). I brought my car with me, but did not import it. I did license, register and insure it here including passing the safety tests.
My car runs fine but isn't worth a lot. I'd like to buy another car off my parents and get rid of my current vehicle. I planned to pay cash for my parent's Jeep.
This leads me to my two questions:
First, is it worth trying to import my current vehicle to try to sell it? What else can I do with it?
Second, having lived here for some while and having a Canadian address, can I bring a new US car into Canada? Do I have to import it?
