Hello,
My name is Andre, I am writing you today looking for guidance on how to go about helping my girlfriend obtain a visitor visa so she can come to Canada and live with me on a trial basis before we make a decision to marry.
I would like my girlfriend to come live with me for a period of six months to determine how well we work together and get along as a couple. I'm hoping she can get a visitor visa to come live with me. If things go well as I believe they will, I will then return her to her home country (Philippines) and marry her so i can begin the process of sponsoring her to become a permanent resident.
While she is visiting, she will be living in my apartment with me and I will be providing for her basic necessities such as food, clothing and shelter.
She already has a passport from her home country and it shows stamps for her previous visit to another country.
Will me providing a letter of invitation stating that I will financially support her for the duration of her visit be sufficient evidence as proof of mean financial support?
I've never done this sort of thing before and would greatly appreciate someone pointing me in the correct path as I would like to do this in a respectful and legal manner so there are no issues down the road.
Thanks for your time,
Andre
