I will receive my passport with PR visa on October but I am planning to go back home end of November. I will not have the PR card by that time since it takes 2 months to get the PR card ( i will only have my passport with the canadian PR visa.)
My question is, can i travel outside then go back to Canada without the PR card? will the PR visa and passport be enough for me to travel outside of and go back to canada?
I am from the Philippines but I am living in canada (on a work permit.) My working visa valid until 2013. If i can only use the permanent resident visa one time can i use the working visa instead? if not, do you know how long it will take to process a Travel document?
I see from your timeline that you did your medicals on Mar 15th, 2012, so your PR visa will be valid till Mar 15th 2013(medicals are good for 1 year). So you can travel home(without landing) and then "land" upon your return to Canada. You will not need a PR card nor TRV in this instance, since a PR visa is a one-time entry visa. Just make sure you land before your PR visa expires.

this is true, your PR visa is good until either your medical expires or your passport expires whichever comes first.... so check make sure your passport doesn't expire before then.
