Hello everyone,
I have applied for PR as a protected person. I was issued a travel document and i am thinking of traveling outside Canada (not my home country) for a few weeks while my PR application is in process.
Can anyone inform me how does this affect my PR application process? does it raise a flag against me?if it does, any idea how long does it delay it the process (roughly)?

I travelled using travel document when I had lodged my application. My advise is for you to make sure you get appropriate visa to countries your visiting and if they allow travel document. I think if your are travelling for few weeks then you will be fine. Hopeful that helped, I do not think it will affect your process unless they require some additional info and you are not available may be. But you can explain to them what happens when you come back.
Hello hamedsilent
My medicals were received one month and 5 days after my AIP, I did my medicals one week after AIP and they updated it a week after receiving it on ecas.
But do not worry about ecas mine doesnot say decision made up to now.
The last note was about my police certificated added in my application. Just contact call center who have most recent update on the file.
Thank you very much waitin_vain for your advice...i will go ahead then.

Hey hamedsilent
I travelled after I got my protected person status document first then I applied for a travel document then that what I used to travel outside Canada.
Hi waitin_vain,
Just a quick question in my mind, did you travel before getting your AIP or after?
Cheers,
L.
