Hello everyone,

I have an important question!

Currently, I have a study permit which is valid until October 31, 2015. Since I finished my master on June 30, I will be applying for the post-graduate work permit within the next couple of weeks, and from what I have read, it takes approximately 90 days to get it.

The problem is that as part of the job I got, I need to go to the US for a training during the first week of August. Is it possible to travel and come back to Canada while I am waiting for my PGWP?? My study permit and TRV will valid for this period, but I am not sure if I will be able to come back with my study permit or since the moment I apply for the PGWP I am no longer a student and need to wait for the PGWP to arrive?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Hi ,

Have you received any response of feedback on this from CIC ? , even i am planning to travel to home country and my student visa is valid till 30th march. I have already applied for pgwp in the month of Oct and waiting for decision.

I heard i can apply for TRV and travel . Please share any information you have
