Hi, I'm a permanent resident who has been living in Canada for 16 years. I came to Canada as a refugee with my family. Few years ago I connected with my old lover back in my country, I went back to my country in 2017, we got married. I used my pr card when I was traveling and enter back in Canada with now issue. I'm going back to see him in less than a month, now someone is telling me that if I go back this time, I might lose my pr status in Canada. I'm really getting worry now as my plane ticket has been booked. Please hepl

There is always a risk if you either use your country's passport or you visit your country. In your case, it's probably minimal however. You've been in Canada for a long time. http://ccrweb.ca/en/cessation-basic-information
If you've been in Canada for 16 years, you really should have applied for citizenship....
I came here when I was 15, the reason why I didn't apply for Canadian citizenship is because I didn't had any intention of traveling out of the country, until 2016 when I connected with my old lover and things became serious, I didn't knew that I wasn't supposed to travel to my home country. We had war but the war has been over for 17 years now. If it wasn't for my husband I would not stop foot there until I was ready. Already got my ticket for next trip but am so worry now. I even plan on applying for my canadian citizenship when I get back.
There is a definite risk of reavailment finding with several trip to your home country, particularly if your home country is now considered safe. I would, if at all possible, avoid returning directly there, at least till you acquire citizenship.
