I’m currently on an IEC 2 year visa which expires in May 2018. I’ve been invited to apply for skilled worker express entry and will be submitting this week or next.
But I wanted to check something. After I submit my PR application, can I still travel to other countries freely and return to Canada / work before my IEC visa expires? Or will I have implied status after I submit (which would mean I can leave Canada and return but can’t work)?
E.g. I have a trip planned to the states in March, but I don’t want to have any visa / work issues when I return to Canada…
Does anyone know what the deal is here? Or any official sources I could check?
