Hi all I recently received my ECOPR on Oct 21, 2021. Ive updated the pr portal since with photo and address but i didnt get a response yet. I wanted to travel to my home country for Christmas. Im currently in canada with a pgwp that doesnt expire until 2023. Could I use this to travel if my pr card hasnt arrived?
Apply for PRTD after you leave Canada.
Once you get your COPR other permits (PGWP,Study, Work) are not longer valid. Including any TRV.
COPR is not a valid travel document.
As stated above. You will need to apply for a PRTD from outside Canada.
Or wait for your PR Card.

I am in Canada with expired PR card. I will be travelling to India on 19th November and I have booked my flight back for the 9th December. I want to apply for the PRTD. Will I have enough time to apply for the document while in India or can I start the process a bit earlier? I meet all the requirements to apply its just I want to know if the duration will be enough. I have to travel back on this date because of work

You need a private vehicle or on foot to a land border.

You would have to enter by land
from the USA - you use your visitor visa to travel to USA and then get to a land border with Canada.

There is absolutely no services in the embassy or with VFS to fasten up the process of getting PRTD??

You can certainly try. I was only clarifying that USA visitor visa is not used to enter Canada but to get you to a land border so that you can enter Canada.

I got you r point for sure about crossing borders by road. That will be way too much as i will be travelling back with kids and they do not have the US visa. However, please let me know if you find nay info for applying PRTD in such short time. TIA
