Yes, you can travel on ECOPR and come back to Canada by using land border if you have USA visa without applying PRTD.

Hi, what about if I have my ecopr but no pr yet and I'm from a country that does not require a visa to enter Canada?

Your eTA will be voided the day you become PR so airliners will deny you boarding. Land borders are good.

Ok, thank you. I have to go for a funeral, I see that this is a reason to expedite. What is the processing time for expediting?

I am not very familiar with it, not even sure you could expedite it officially. @jvcaunin asked his MP to help with the process maybe you can try too. Alternatively you can try to apply for a prtd in you country of citizenship

It may take a bit of time for it to be cancelled, but I wouldn't want to risk it.
