Hi, wanted to check if any H1b holders living in Canada have traveled to Mexico or any other country with a US Layover. I have a valid H1b and my family has H4 visas. We are planning a trip to Mexico, but the flight options have a US layover. Do we need a separate Transit visa for such a trip or should our H visas suffice?

Call cbp.
If you hold status in US then you dont need B visa as we go for shopping while we have H status.
