Hello everyone,

I have received an invitation to apply via express entry (PNP), and I submitted my PR application a couple of weeks ago. I have a valid PGWP and visa. I have a couple of questions:

  • Can I travel outside Canada for three weeks and return to Canada using my visa and permit while my application is being processed?
  • What would happen if my application got approved while I was outside Canada? In this case, Could I return to Canada with my permit and visa?
Thanks,
@legalfalcon could you please also comment on this? Thanks

  • Yes
  • If you just submitted your application, there is no chance that it will be approved in 3 weeks. And even if it is, your visa still remains valid until you land as a PR, which only happens after you use the PR portal and a COPR is issued to you/
