Hello Guys,

Just a quick inquiry.

I received PPR on 2nd August, 2017. I sent my passport to Ottawa on 4th Aug. I got my Express entry PR (FSW) application approved today (Super Happy about it). Now I am waiting for my passport to come back from CIC Ottawa. I am currently residing in Toronto on the basis of Post Graduate Work permit (With valid TRV). Once, I get my passport back, I am planning to cross the border and re-enter Canada (by road) to get my COPR letter at border.

From my understanding, as soon as I cross the border and give visa officer a valid mailing address at the time of re-entry, the process for PR card would get started and I don't have to apply for PR card (Plz feel free to Correct me if I am wrong). It says, if it's your first time PR card and you have already paid all the fees then you don't need to do any application separately.

Questions:

1) I want to know, what's the PR card processing time going on currently?

2) The thing is, apart from Worker TRV, I also have "Multiple Entry Visitor Visa" which is as of now valid till 2021. Is it still gonna be considered as a valid visa since I got my PR approved today.

3) If yes, then, in that case, if I want to go to India before I get my PR card by mail, is it possible to re-enter Canada based on my Multiple entry Visitor Visa.

Please, share your past experiences and opinions about it. Thanks.

Questions:

1) I want to know, what's the PR card processing time going on currently? Currently 60 to 90 days.

2) The thing is, apart from Worker TRV, I also have "Multiple Entry Visitor Visa" which is as of now valid till 2021. Is it still gonna be considered as a valid visa since I got my PR approved today. It will now be superceded by your PR status, you will no longer need a multi entry visa

3) If yes, then, in that case, if I want to go to India before I get my PR card by mail, is it possible to re-enter Canada based on my Multiple entry Visitor Visa.

Please, share your past experiences and opinions about it. Thanks.

See above.
