I've been here with my husband, James, since 2014. I had travel insurance, but it ran out just recently. When I search for travel insurance it keeps telling me that I need to apply for it before going to Canada. Well, I'm already here, and I'm legally here as well. My COPR should be arriving anytime from now until possibly March at the latest I imagine. So I wanted to buy health insurance for 6 months to be on the safe side since it takes 3 months for OHIP coverage after I land.
Where can I buy insurance, though, when I'm already in Canada and not outside it?

Before my wife got PR, she got emergency medical coverage from this site: https://www.kanetix.ca/travel-visitors-to-canada
She bought the policy after she was already in Canada, made a claim once, and there were no problems.
