When did you applied for SOWP? Could you please share your application timeline? And did you applied for travel exemption through email ? Does that email helped to prioritize your SOWP application ?

Yes, emailing IRCC does help prioritize the application. We applied in the first week of November and got the ETA around mid-December.

Oh thats great. Even my husband applied on 5th of November and there is no update since then. We have just sent an email for travel exemption lets see what happens. Anyways thank you for your response. It was good news and little hope.

No not yet. We sent an email on 14th April and they stopped the email process in next 2 days may be so we have submitted the new web form for same and waiting for their response. They now give the travel exemption via Webform.

I am just wondering if they are even processing applications from India given the flight ban and VAC getting closed. U have any Idea? I was also thinking to send Webform to prioritize my wife's SOWP from India but confused.

No idea about it .. we can do whatever possible from our side and just wait for their response

No .. we are still waiting for SOWP decision. When we called IRCC the agent told us in June that our travel exemption was approved in May end itself but we don't see any updated on application.

We applied for travel exemption via Webform. They have introduced one new webform for this. https://secure.cic.gc.ca/ClientContact/en/Crisis

Hello everyone. I am currently in Vancouver on Study Permit for a year now. I have my study permit valid until March 2025. I applied for my Open Work Permit for my spouse and she got her visa approved. Her Open Work Permit is valid until March 2025.
We have submitted an authorization for travel due to COVID 19 restrictions, but we were denied.

Was anyone here in the same situation? What would you now recommend me to do? Should I submit request again?
