The document checklist says I have to show - "Evidence of your permanent resident status in Canada, such as:
• a Record of Landing or Confirmation of Permanent Residence"
Do I have to send my original Confirmation of Permanent Residence Letter or can I send a photocopy? Also what exactly is my record of landing? is it the stamp on my passport the day I landed where the immigration officer wrote my document number for COPR? if so can I just send my passport and not send my COPR. I am reluctant to part with with COPR. Not sure what to do about this travel document situation.
I did my landing in April so I wouldn't have an expired PR card. Also I come for a visa exempt country. Do I still need a travel document since my country is visa exempt?
