I have received a letter from the CIC London office, requesting my documnets.
All the required document is ready except passport showing valid visa since I am not
a nationality of UK, but residence.
I came into UK in 2005 as student and after completing the studies, I have changed my status to residence permit.
I applied for Federal Skilled Worker /PR in 2006.
I have all my Visa and renewals until feb 2009 which is due for another renewal.
I have applied for another renewal with UK Home Office, but yet to
get my Passport back as at today.
I have a week left to submit all documents to CIC London, How do I get through with this and my application will not be refused?
Do you have a copy of passport?
If yes send it and provide a covering letter explaining situation.
And when you get the passport back, send the copy agagin.
Yes, I have copy of my Passport and all the Visa page for my UK residence permit till feb 2009. Now awating the renewal visa to be stamped on my Passport.

get my Passport back as at today. No problems. Write a letter, explaining the situation. Try and contact the Home office also and explain the situation to them as well.
They should normally be able to give you a Photocopy of what they have with them, but if they don't, explain in writing to CIC london that you will send it immediately you receive it from the Home Office.

By sending in all other Documents and a letter explaining the situation. SEND IN ALL OTHER DOCS+LETTER ASAP
when you applied in 2006, you showed that you were legal in the UK. Do you have to show that still? Don't you just have to send in the additional documents? I dont know how pre-Nov 2008 works hence i ask this question.
Will CIC look to see if you are still legal in the UK. The fact that you were allowed to proceed with your application means that you were legal, isn't that the case?
Before Novemeber 2008, It was a Simplified Application Process.
Where u only requirer to submit only application form and Processing fee.
Having Applied in Dec 2006 and got AOR in Apr 2007.
CIC now request for photocopies of supporting documents and fill out forms again.
Up till Feb 2009 since Sep 2005, I have valid Visa in UK.
