For my Colombian wife's PRV application, I know all official documents not in English or French need to be translated, like our marriage certificate from Colombia which I'll be doing.
However, their instructions for country specific requirements lists "for all civil marriages in Colombia, a copy of the escritura de matrimonio is required."
Is there a way to get clarification if I can submit the only copy we have as-is? Depending on what I include from it, it could be minimum 9 pages or everything is 28 pages double sided. That's a long time and cost to get translated.
I don't want to prolong the process to get everything translated if I can submit the original document.
Thoughts?
