So I am preparing documents now in case I receive an ITA
The thing is I have lots of documents that need translation to English but I have read on CIC that they have to be done by a certified translator . I don't live in Canada ! Can I have them translated in my country by an official translator and would this be satisfactory to CIC ? I have read also somewhere that if documents are translated by a non-canadian translator they have to be notarized ? The problem is in my country there is no such thing for translated documents so I do not know what to do exactly !

Unfortunately this is not recognized her I asked the government officials and lawyers and they said that is not possible for all documents . Things like birth certificate and marriage license I can go to the ministry of justice and have official certificates issued in English but other documents like reference letters from employers and so not possible . All I can do is have them translated. I do not know what to do
Oh, that might work! You only need digital versions in the end (to upload) anyway.
As for job letters: Can you get the company to write them in English? Or have them sign the translation? Mine let me have mine translated (by a "normal" native speaker translator) and send it back to them, and they read over it to make sure I didn't change any content and then put it on their paper and signed it.
Can you tell me how you found the translator ? Also did you have the translations sent to you by mail or just an E-copy ?
I wonder if for now I can upload the translated document just as a photo but later CIC asks me for original document :'( ???

This is Egypt Employers are so mean and no actual laws that protect the right of the employed . I thank god that I was able to obtain the reference letter in Arabic If I tell my boss I need it in English too he will start to have questions about why and if he knows or guesses it is for immigration or anything out Egypt I will never see this document and maybe even he will deny that I worked for him if asked
People are so mean here They do not like to see good coming to others specially if something abroad or for a woman like me
Harsh but true
You can translate the documents from a recognized translator, recognized means that it is approved by Egyptian government. This process is called legalization. I do not see any issue in your case, not every employer has someone who speaks and writes English.
Google certified canadian translator and ask a few of them for a quote.
i sent mine to them as pdf and got documents back as pdf and as well as hard copy
I have a record of employment from my country. It's neither in English nor in French, so I gave it to a Certified translator in Canada (ATIO) for translation. I sent it via e-mail, (because I'm in Vancouver, he's in Toronto) so he put "translated from a copy provided by (name)".
Is this okay, or should I send him the original or a notarized copy of the original? Does it have to be "translated from original"?
