I am currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma at a public college from May 2024 to April 2026. However, I am planning to apply for a Master's program(duration 16 months) starting in September 2025. I have a few questions:
- Since I've already paid the first-year fees for my college program, I intend to study at the college until April 2025. Between May 2025 and August 2025, can I stay in Canada, or will I be allowed to work part time or full time?
- Do I need to pay the GIC again for the Master's program?
- My current study permit is valid until September 2026, but the Master's program will end in December 2026. Should I extend my existing study permit or apply for a new one?"

What school for the masters and have you been accepted?
I have not been accepted yet. I am weighing my options so had few doubts regarding immigration

1. If you stop studying, you cannot work. Your study permit is not valid after you stop studying.

Would start with actually getting admission to a masters program. If you are enrolled in a masters program and attend that masters program you can work during the summer.
