I have my PR and my daughters are coming to Canada on an IM-1 Visa from Philippines (over 18). Visas are complete. They travel to YYZ through LAX. Do they need a transit Visa?

Avoid the United States . In particular LAX. I’ve gone thru there countless times , domestic and international. You’ll arrive in TBIT , and then have to race over to one of the other terminals . I know the layout . But if you’ve never been there, it’s a mess . Plus there’s been construction which is or was causing extensive delays for the shuttle bus connecting the terminals

The secret to LAX is to avoid the shuttle buses at all costs and switch terminals on foot. The shuttle buses have been a disaster for over a decade (same goes for the construction). Far far faster on foot. There are a bunch of hidden(ish) tunnels. That's my LAX life-hack.
