When landing, I plan to carry only about 4000 CAD in cash. The rest will remain in my Indian savings bank account with SBI. I would show a bank statement at immigration if asked. My question is, once I am in Canada, how do I transfer the rest of the money (about 9000 CAD) from my SBI Indian account to the chosen Canadian bank account? Does SBI allow this online? or should I inform them prior to leaving India and fill some paper forms?
