You can't transfer before opening a bank account. its better to take your amount in cash then open account in any bank and deposit the amount

What i'm asking is ... when I move to Canada and someone from Pakistan wants to send money. What is the best way to have funds deposited/transferred in my account in Canada.

Its difficult to send money from pak to any part of the world because you have to prove your money is white and also you have pay a certain tax on the amount you are sending.

You must have an foriegn currency account to perform this, also not all bank provide this service.

U can check UBL, Barklays or HSCB banks
