Hello

I want to transfer the total amount of money required for my living and study tuition to a Canadian bank account as a proof of funds, the duration of my study is 4 semesters so i will be staying for about 2 years which will cost 20000 CAD according to the website, and the study tuition is around 25000 CAD, so my parents are planning to transfer around 50000 CAD from their bank account in our country to a bank account in my name in Canada.
does anyone know how can i open a bank account in Canada in my name from my country, I am Egyptian.
and do i require to transfer more than this amount of money or 50000 CAD would be enough ?
Thanks all hope i get help.

The best/easy advice is to get the permit first, come over open a bank account and then have your parents send you money.

i will tell you the problem, my father is retired so he has no proof of annual income except of the bank interest of the money in the bank, so we are not sure what to type in the affidavit regarding this, so we decided to transfer the money needed in my name to avoid any source of refusal regarding this, or transferring it to my bank account in my country but it is still fresh and i read that it the bank statement needs to be for four months,
what do you think is the best for this situation ?

Why do you need to open a bank account in Canada? The funds need to be in your name for at least 4 months or more

And 20000CAD for 2 years is definitely not enough.

20000CAD is what is written on the website which is 10000 a year, i don't know for sure i just said what i saw written, are you sure that the money need to be in my name for at least 4 months ? because i created my bank account recently and my parents will transfer the money to it, so will this be refused ?

The money doesn't need to be in your name. Submit your parents' bank statements.

Bro someone gave you wrong guidance, your parents can show this money from their account. You need only $10K in your GIC and pay one-year tuition fees. Are you from India?

you can apply with your parents as your sponsors you dont have to have the money in your personal account
