transfer of savings from home country

Hi, everyone.

I am on work permit here in Vancouver and I have around $100 000 to transfer from my home country.

Do you know if I need to inform CRA I will be transferring the money, and how?

That is all my income savings from before we came to Canada, all taxed already in my home country.

Hi

You don't need to inform CRA but you must keep proof of the source of the funds in case you are asked later.
