transfer of open work permit to study permit

Hi

Currently I'm on open work permit in Canada. Today I got admission in one of the college in edmonton for 2 years course and the course is going to start from may 2010. WIll there be any difficulty getting study permit as currently i'm on open work permit in canada.

Will there be any difficulty in getting my condition change (getting study permit from open work permit)

I don't think you can do so. I could be wrong. You should have contacted CIC before getting admission. Did you came to canada on work permit? I think your open work permit will be void first in order for you to get study permit. You should contact CIC and ask them.

Hi,
Immigration will not object you in issueing a study permit...but there are chances to ask you what you have done when they issued open work permit...I mean you have to submit ur T4 slips....etc...
