My wife did her MBA from Pondicherry University Distance Education program. I wanted to request the official transcripts but the phone numbers listed in the web pages dont work and even if somebody picks the phone either they keep redirecting or put the phone on hold. I am also not sure if the information they kept on their website for obtaining transcripts is invalid any more (in terms of fees, etc).
On top of this, they want us to send the original documents through mail.
Being as callous as they are, I am concerned to send them any original documents.
In view of this, can I send notarized copies of my wife's marks sheets /degree certificate and provide a letter which basically states the above reasons for not able to get the transcripts and still be able to get the points that are awarded for spouse's master's degree?
Are there any one there in a similar situation? Please suggest

Thank you for the link. That may not describe my situation though. I think the guys got their transcripts stamped from their respective colleges (in stead of the university ). But for me, my spouse did a distance education and that option is not available.
Anyone in this kind of a situatin where they had a hard time getting transcripts ?

There are many ways to contact them. You get if you try.
i advice you, send the transcript request form without sending original mark sheet, pay the fees and write them a letter and provide genuine reasons. They will issue transcript for you.
I am Avinash and I did my engineering from Pondicherry University. I have just come across your post and I am wondering what you did to obtain your wife's academic transcripts from Pondicherry University. I am now living in Scotland and I am worried about sending originals all the way to Pondicherry for getting the transcripts. Did you send the original documents to obtain transcripts? I know university's administration staff are rude and reckless. I don't want to send the originals to them. Just want your inputs to obtain the documents. By the way, I am applying for Canadian visa and I need the transcripts to submit to WES.

I'm in the same boat as well. Has anymore figured this out ? I do not live anywhere near Pondicherry now and nor am I in a position to send someone there on my behalf.
