Hi there...I got tourist visa for year....I am going to visit my spouse who is on post graduate work permit...my spouse is a skilled worker in an occupation under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type B...is there any way I get the open work permit at port of entry (i.e. Canadian airport)...can I apply for it when I am residing in Canada? I read somewhere that a visitor cannot change status into worker or student or permanent resident if the visitor is in canada....plz let me know...

no you can't do that because your country needs visa to enter canada, but you can apply online for that while you are here, it's easy steps and fast.
