Tourist visa expired but sponsorship is currently on process.

Hello!!!

My tourist visa was already expired last month but my sponsorship is still on process, we submitted our forms last year but there isn't any news yet.

Questions:
1. Will it be wise for me to leave Canada while waiting for my sponsorship? Will the sponsorship be canceled?

2. Will I get into trouble if I enter Canada in the future because of my overstay?

3. How long does it take for sponsorship to be approved?
