Hello guys and Dolls, I dont understand , for immigration IELTS is the requirement while for Universities TOEFL IS WANTED . WHY THIS DIFFERENCE FOR THE SAME COUNTRY ??? WILL IELTS BE OK FOR UNIVERSITIES AS WELL???

Depends on the University's specific requirements. Some unis want IELTS others want the ancient TOEFL. ohhh Toefl, brings back those ambitious memories...
 
If you are going to USA then TOEFL otherwise IELTS.
 
Nowadays even american universities are accepting IELTS
IELTS is better
