Dear all,
I would like to know if the AOR letters from the local visa offices you submitted your full application to (under the new rules), ever specified processing times to finalize your application. Please share ...
rupeshari,
did they give you a new file number different from the B# of CIU?
when i received AOR from sydney, the ecas shows "withdrawn".
now when i checked using the same B# its "on process". does this mean they'll use the old file number and not issue a new one?
Jtob - yep, a new B# from the visa office.
Well, i think my CIU B# had withdrawn (i cant quite remember).
Now my new B# had one withdrawn and one process ( i think) and now has 2 lines of in process lol.
I think they will issue you a new one.
Babutv2000 - They did not ask for IELTS or updated PCC in the AOR because in the first AOR ( from CIU), they probably didn't check my language proficiency letter and of course, they didn't get any PCC. In the second AOR (from visa office), they send the AOR before they start looking at IELTS/Language proficiency lettter, PCC, etc so they won't be asking for an updated one in your AOR.
Congrats to all who have received AOR from local Visa Office. I have yet to receive mine, but its only one week passed since I submitted the full application.
The OP1 document says you will receive the AOR from your local visa office within a month. Mine has been 3 weeks so far so I am expecting to receive it next week, hopefully!
Something else, they do check the completeness of your application BEFORE they send you the AOR. This is clearly indicated in OP6. In case of Rupeshhari, the checked and saw he has submitted all the required documents (including the language proficiency proof) otherwise he would have received a letter indicating missing documents. Whether or not his documents will be accepted is another story though and will be determined upon assessment by the visa officer.
does anybody know if the visa office still sends letters to ask for additional documents if you have missed sending important ones like IELTS or employments referrences after they have specifically instructed the applicants to submit all documents in one package?
or they will not ask for additional documents anymore and assess you per the documents you send as a way to lessen the work and cutting the processing time? its obvious that if they'll open all applications and find something lacking and send letters everybody for additional documents, they will be more time for each application.
This is a totally new process so there is not much experience. However, the visa offices are instructed to do so. Below is from OP6 document:
If the application does not meet the seventh requirement:
• send the applicant a letter outlining what documentation is required;
• inform them that if they do not produce the required documents by a specific date their applications will be
assessed as submitted;
• create a file, but do not begin processing until all supporting documents, as defined above, have been submitted or the
deadline has passed.
