Hi, my pr card is expiring in May-2021, however I am eligible to apply for citizenship in March-2021. I am planning to apply for citizenship. Should I extend my PR card? Please advise.

If you have travel plan, you need to renew your PR Card. If you are staying 100% no travel, you do not have to renew.

Hello,
I submitted my PR card renewal application yesterday. However, when I cam back home, I found that my photos still on my desk, :(. I forgot to put them inside the package. Can I just send another package since I have the form in my laptop and all other copies? Please advice.
Thank you

That’s a good question. I have no idea if you keep the same number or not.
I guess only the expiry date would change on the card itself, so as I am thinking more about it probably no need to update anything. In the citizenship application I think they only asked two PR related info: the client ID and date when we became PR and we could not use PR as an ID document.

I posted another thread asking about this and the census is that because you don’t send in a copy of your PR card (it’s not considered a travel doc) you don’t need to do it. Also, I’d assume they have a record of it themselves since it’s linked to a person‘s UID number.
If I ever manage to get through to a person on the phone I’ll update.
