My IELTS is after 1 month. I have been doing practice for last 2-3 weeks for all sections. I am not so confident for writing and speakings sections. I am able to speak English well.

In both writing and speaking , problem is - getting more ideas and then structure them.

Anyone please give any pointers. I am familiar with IELTSLIZ, IELTSMaterial sites But if someone has done preparation from different sources if anybody could recommend best books, website etc, I would greatly appreciate

Hey There,

I just received my IELTS scores, and got an 8 in Writing and an 8.5 in Speaking. Here a few resources which I had sent another forum member:

First, go through the Official Cambridge Guide - it explains these sections in a lot of detail. Try to understand how these sections are marked, and the breakdown for each criteria.

Checkout the IELTS Advantage website - it is loaded with tips and exercises. Here is a good starting point: https://www.ieltsadvantage.com/ielts-preparation/

Then, go through the videos on the E2 IELTS YouTube Channel - they take you through every type of letter and essay, and give you a chance to write these along while watching the videos. They also give you a lot of great tips for the Speaking tests: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCglDIsg_Z9mE2oT9hsrbzFA/videos

At the same time, work on your vocabulary and grammar in general, as many people seem to lose points in these areas.

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have.

All the Best - Prashant.

I was weak in writing and speaking, too. I followed simon ielts, dcielts and ieltsbuddy. They've got great tips
