Timeline with Police Checks

So I applied to the Express Entry program, and proceeded to secure my documentation. I received the Invitation to Apply (ITA) about 3 wks after applying. We have 60 days to submit the paperwork but the US Background check is not estimated at 12-14 weeks. Even though I submitted the request for the check 2 weeks prior, I still wouldn't make the 60 day window if there is a backlog (there is no expediting and no tracking). I do have a 2 year old background check that I never used. What do I do to make it in?
