Is there anyone who could share his/her timeline for citizenship for Mississauga Citizenship office, coz I have been told that mississauga is one of the busiest office in canada.
This is what my status shows:
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 2009.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called A Look at Canada on June 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
We started processing your application on February 2010.
Your file was transferred to the Mississauga CIC office on May 2010. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you if additional information is required. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete.

It will not affect your citizenship application if your PR card expires but if you want to renew it, you can do so even while you wait for citizenship.
What will happen is that you will get a letter telling you when to appear for your test. If you can not make it on this day, you can re-schedule but I would not recommend that unless absolutely necessary. They feel that citizenship should be important enough to you that you will bend to their schedule and not the other way around. They will not let you pick a date that is convenient for you. Instead, if you can not make your first date, they will give you another date later, possibly much later and this 2nd date may not be any better for you than the first one.
