I have a question about the time schedule for applying Work Permit. My Work permit expires in September 2011. I just wanted to know that, is there a condition from CIC to apply for LMO only 3 months before the Work Permit expires, or can the Work permit be applied much before it (may be 6 months before work permit expires)?
Also as a part of LMO process, is it essential for the company applying for LMO to provide Tax details. If possible, can you pls let me know, what all things are required for the company to provide?
Your company needs to publish the position at the national job bank and another website (to show recruitment efforts) for at least 14 days and if no Canadian citizen or permanent resident, could send an application for LMO in your favour. Roughly, it will take a minimum of 2 weeks for the ad and 2-6 weeks for LMO application processing, sometimes longer.
