I have searched quite a bit, but I'm not getting a clear answer for this. Will help if anyone has a better number / picture.
Question: What is the time required to process the temporary travel document for re-entry to Canada?
Background: I will be 'Landing' in Feb-mid and apply for PR card. Today I realized the processing time is nearly 3 months! In the meanwhile, I need to head back to US to my job, and meanwhile hunt for jobs in Canada. Now, for re-entry, in case I have to take a flight for an interview, I will need the temporary travel document.
there is no clear timeline for travel document. but searching other threads it looks like 2-4 weeks. also few of them got it same day from the consulate so it depends.
I want to know your opinion about the travel document time. I reached Toronto on November 1st and applied for PR card on the same day, but I need to travel to the US on Jan-8 for trainings. Can someone please suggest will it be ok to apply for travel document and then apply for a US visa?
