Hello friends.
How much time is required to complete the procedure by the immigration officer at the first point of entry into Canada for student permit? And what documents are required? I have Passport with visa, letter from the CIC, some Cash, first-year fee paid receipt and offer letter from university. Do I need more documents? Please advise me.

Gosh, I came to Canada as a student almost 12 years ago.
The list you mentioned is fine. After you get off the plane, you need to walk to the passport control booths. The CBSA officer will check your passport, visa and declaration card. Once you tell him that you came here as a first time student, he will forward you to immigration section. You will line up there again. The immigration officer will attach your study permit to your passport once he is done checking your passport and other docs. Then you will go for baggage claim area. After you collect your luggage, you proceed through Custom area where one officer stands by and collects the declaration card (marked previously as passport control). Depending on what remarks/code the passport control officer puts, you may be asked for a through check on your luggage. Very few people need to go though this hassle. After you're cleared from there, you come across the public area where you will visitors waiting for their loved ones. You're free to go anywhere from there. The whole process may take 1.5 - 2.5 hours.
- If you carry more than CAD $10,000, you will have to declare it.
- If you declared that you are bringing food items in your luggage, you will most likely be checked as a first time visitor. It's better not to bring any food.
