Hi all,

Kindly help with the below questions:

1. Is it necessary for spouse to co-sign in sponsorship application for child ?
2. My spouse may have to leave the country for work while our child's PR application is in process. Is this permitted if they are co-signer?
3. Does having a co-signer have any impact for financial evaluation even if it is for dependent child ?

I just received the AOR and Medical Request for my Child today, Application submitted on March 16th 2020.

I didn't change the address.. I came to realise that this is common in sponsoring dependant child.. they send the application to where the child was born for further processing.. enjoy your long awaited victory..

How much time does it takes now a days for final DM / PPR after file is moved to VO ?

I am an Inland applicant but I see the application had moved to NDVO, is that normal?. The child is in Canada from the date of applying the Sponsorship and address mentioned to contact has a Canadian address.

I had a question. I am in similar situation.
Did you applied for a Visitor Record online or CBSA officer gave you at airport when your child landed as a visitor ?
Do you have to apply for child's Extension of stay in Canada while the child's PR sponsorship application is in progress ?

I still haven't done medicals yet so I am far from PPR and DM.. Not sure with Covid-19 how the process will work...

Not sure he needs a Visitor Record. so, i have raised a webform to inquire about this.

I applied his PR in mid October...so, looking at the timelines, it may take around 6 months just to get the Application number.
I will then prepare for his extension anyways...

One more question is do you have buy insurance by yourself as province does not give a health card to visitors.

Previously you had to visit an IRCC office for Inland landing or through Flagpoling. But due to Covid they have removed the restriction and created this virtual landing concept. In ECAS status it says became PR on 17th Nov through this IRCC Etobicoke office. They didnot call so presuming its done.

Yes. Need to take private insurance since they didnot give insurance for my child even with Pre arrival services mail. I will contact them now.
