I did my landing on October 9th last year (2017) and came back to the US same day. I have got my PR card. In intend to move to Canada permanently next year (2019) June. My question is - in the meanwhile, am I supposed to other things or complete certain steps? (for example - I read somewhere that one needs to apply for health insurance card within 2 months of landing, somewhere else I read that even though I am not living or working in Canada now, I should still need to file tax returns). Can anybody kindly guide me on what are things I need to take care of before I move to Canada in June 2019. I don't wan't to break any rules or not follow any process. Thank you very much for your kind help and guidance.

Thanks for the reply man. I agree with what you have said (zero benefit in filing taxes) - my question was primarily from procedural point of view, in other words, before I move (since I am already a PR holder though I do not live there) are there things/procedures that II need to do. Thanks.

Looks like someone is trolling about things to do. You don't have to file tax returns unless you are living in Canada and/or have source of income in Canada. You can apply for health insurance once you start living there otherwise there is no real benefit. Same goes for driving license. What you can benefit from a bit is opening a bank account and applying for credit card.
